Many states are engaging in efforts to communicate the importance of raising expectations and making sure all graduates are prepared for work or college to key audiences. Achieve has created a collection of resources, tools and materials that offer examples and ideas of effective ways to make that case to the public, parents, educators, business leaders and others.
The toolkit includes quality materials from states that have engaged in campaigns to build public awareness for reform efforts including raising standards and expectations, improving high schools, and increasing college readiness and access. This repository holds tools and resources including planning materials, fact sheets, one-page issue briefs, brochures, advertisements, public service announcements and other helpful documents.
This resource also provides examples from some of education reform's best campaigns such as the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education's interactive online survey tools, the Oklahoma GEAR UP campaign's multiple audience outreach and public information campaign resources and the Indiana Commission for Higher Education's extensive public presentation materials.
We hope this information will be of use to you when communicating about the need to raise expectations in your state. We will be adding tools and materials to this section in the coming months.
